High School Students Make a Positive Impact with Local Pulmonary Care Nursing Home
Fox Subacute and Council Rock South Swim Team – Community Affairs Event
On Tuesday, March 31st at 1pm, Fox Subacute, the Leader in Care and Services for the Post-Acute Pulmonary Patient will host the Council Rock South Swim Team at the Warrington, PA facility. Fox Subacute invites members of the media to experience this profound and touching event.
According to Stephanie Parker, CTRS, Therapeutic Recreation Director at Fox Subacute Warrington, “Two years ago the swim team from *Council Rock South made blankets for our residents. They came into Fox and delivered them and got to meet the residents. It was a great experience for all. Daphne Melekos, whose father-in-law was a resident at Fox, is the mom of one of the swimmers who spearheaded this activity. The team is excited to spend time with the Fox Subacute residents and deliver about 40 blankets.”
Fox Subacute, the first skilled nursing facility in the country to convert traditional nursing homes to sophisticated, subacute care facilities that exclusively service the post-acute (outside the hospital) ventilator and trach collar dependent patient. Since 1985, Fox Subacute specializes in providing progressive ventilator weaning, rehabilitation services and other subacute care such as dialysis, TPN and wound management.
Fox Subacute treats individuals afflicted with ALS, MS, brain and spinal injuries, as well as a variety of other conditions that require ventilator and trach care.
